I can't remember what started this whole thing. It was just a normal Monday. Well, it was a normal Monday until the cowgirl hats came out. I'm sure these have made an appearance on this blog before. They came from some Halloween costumes that my mom found on clearance at Walmart sometime after Halloween. There are actual cowgirl costumes, but they're like a size 8 or something. But on clearance, they were worth it for the hats alone. Pink and shiny.
Apparently a modern cowgirl needs 3 cell phones. (That's Becca under there.) This was also the day that my Gymboree clearance box came, and they all had to put on the (too big) red, white, and blue skirts that are for next year.
A cowgirl also needs sunglasses. Preferably pink. And preferably with silver sparkly stars. You can't see her fabulous bracelets in this picture. Oh, and a cowgirl for sure needs her teddy bear (dressed in two layers of pink).
Becca was a blur for most of the evening, but I wanted to catch the double skirts (and I'm pretty sure there's a pair of shorts on under there, too) , bracelets, and always fabulous Mardi Gras beads.
Julie decided to add a medal ... you know, in spirit of the Olympics. And a flashlight necklace... always prepared is a modern cowgirl's motto. (Her pink bear was wearing her hat at this point.)
And what does a modern cowgirl need most of all? A loving, supportive, and fun daddy to read to them.
