The girls turned four back in the end of January. We decided not to have a birthday party with all of their school friends, because it's probably the last year we can get away with it. (They went to a pony riding party this weekend, and LOVED it, so I'm feeling a tad guilty.)
Grandma and Papa were here for the week, so they celebrated with us. The girls got balloons from them, and of course I couldn't get them out of their hands for picture. The only reason they agreed to pose was because I told them they had to before they could open their presents.

We decided to use our new birthday membership we got to the Children's Museum for the girls' birthday. It had been over a year (2?) since we'd been here, so it was all new to them.
Lots of fun playing with balls and vacuums.

And then it was time to climb. The last time we were here, the girls were too young for this. It's kind of hard to describe, but it's a two story climbing structure made of platforms and those clear acrylic (?) things that look almost like seats (they have red and orange polka dots on them).
It took them a little while to get their footing, but then Becca and Emma took off. Julie still struggled a bit, and was a little hesitant. (In the two times we've been there now since their birthday, Julie's totally over her hesitation, and she's right on Em and Bec's heels.)
Julie gave up a few minutes earlier than the other two, so she went over to these mirrors to pose. I don't know where she gets it, but this one LOVES to look at herself in the mirror, and LOVES to perform. She's a total ham.

We played in the water for a little while before lunch. (Note to self: Next time, play in water, then go play with the "hair dryers.")
Next, we hit the special temporary exhibit. I can't remember now if it was just "Toys" or what. Anyhow, Grandma and Papa set up dominoes for the girls to knock down.
Of course there's a good reason why Becca's wearing a life jacket in the picture above. She was pretend fishing next door.
Next up was the "farm house" exhibit. For some reason, this exhibit is my least favorite. Maybe because the girls have a lot of the toys at home (fake food, dishes, etc), but they could play here for hours and hours.
I think Emma is planting eggs, but I'm not really sure.
Now the giant light brite? That would be one of my favorites.
One exhibit that they were definitely too small for last time was the "construction zone" one, but man they loved it. Becca looks so serious.

After dumping the wheelbarrow a couple of times, Becca figured out that the lower she got, the more stable the wheelbarrow. At one point, she was pretty much on her knees pushing it.
