Random Notes

Emma will spin around in circles and make herself dizzy now, and then stagger around and scare me into being sure she's going to hit her head on something.

The girls like to "play the wind chimes" when we go out in the back yard.  We've got to pick them up, but they take the little center striker thing and shake the string around.

Emma is addicted to Olivia books.  She carries them around with her, upstairs and downstairs.  They're almost like a security blanket.  She calls them "my Olivia books," and gets really mad when she has to share them.  I just love, love, love hearing the girls "read" books.

My girls love the moon.  Love to find it, see it, rationalize where it is when they don't see it (it's asleep).  Well, back in December, the moon was rising while we were waiting for the Polar Express.  My dad had Emma, and as the moon was rising over the trees, you couldn't see the bottom of it yet.  My dad said something to Emma about someone having taken a bite out of it.  So, a few weeks ago, when the moon wasn't full, they were trying to decide who had taken a bite out of it.  Finally, they decided that it was the birds who take bites out of the moon.  And really, I'm kind of impressed...  birds are in the sky, the moon is in the sky....
