Personality Notes 7/14/10

Becca has woken up a few times in the past few weeks around 5:30 am. She'll go back to sleep for a little bit when we bring her into our room. But once she wakes up, she just sits up and waits for one of us to wake up. If Greg or I open our eyes, she'll crawl over to us, and once we wake up she just gives us a big smile. Not a bad way to wake up.

They are all pretty attached to their stuffed animals right now.

Emma likes to say "ba dubba dubba dubba."

Becca still loves the toy cell phone, and they commented that she really likes the one at daycare, too.

Emma has started occasionally walking on tip toes. Just because she can.

Over the weekend, the girls were having breakfast and Julie and Rebecca were offering me some of their Cheerios. I asked Emma if she had any Cheerios to share, and she covered them up with her hands to hide them from me. Then she grabbed what she had left in her two hands and inhaled them. She did the same sort of thing on Monday morning. She was in her pajamas in her exersaucer eating Cheerios and drinking milk. It was her turn to get dressed, and as I went to pick her up, she cupped her hands over her Cheerios like I was going to steal them from her.

Becca and Emma are both saying "bay" for Emma's bear right now. I've heard Julie say it with 2 syllables - - "bay uh."

Julie has also been working on what a dog says: "wuh wuh"

On Monday, Julie and Emma figured out that pushing mommy or daddy over is just hysterical. We were sitting on the floor in the living room, and when they would come up behind us and push, we'd go all dramatic and fall over. And it was Gigglefest '10.

Last Friday, Julie started dancing with her hands up over her head. It's too adorable for words. We went to Moe's for dinner, and she was sitting in her high chair dancing to the music while we waited for food, and started dancing with her arms up in the air. Emma has started bumping her fists together when she dances.

Sometimes we use "This Little Piggy" or other songs to distract them from being bad while they're drinking milk before bed. We get out our red chairs, and now they sit down and immediately hold their feet up for "This Little Piggy."

Julie started doing hand motions for "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" this week, too.
