Thanksgiving Part 4

Whew, last Thanksgiving post!

The girls really like to get up in chairs and sit at the table now. On Saturday morning, Becca found an open bag of raisins at the table.

"What raisins?"

We had big plans on Saturday. There's a zoo nearby that was open, and also had holiday lights up at night. Our plan was to go to the zoo in the afternoon, grab dinner, and then go back to the zoo after dinner (since it was dark by 5pm). But it was SO cold. We loaded the girls up in their hats and mittens, but by the time we were done in the afternoon, it was already so cold, and their hands were like popsicles, so we decided not to come back for the lights.

After all of our adventures, Sunday was about relaxing, laundry, and trying to find the things we had scattered all over the house.

We really like our hats, though.

We also got a special treat on Sunday morning - munchkins! The girls kept trying them and then putting them back in the box.

At this point, Becca was giggling because when she threw the munchkin on a pile of papers, it rolled back to her. I was trying not to condone it, but it was pretty funny.

Monday was our big trip home. We left a little after 4 again, and it took us a little longer since we had to stop for dinner. Again, it was a long trip but I'm so proud of how well the girls did. There were probably a lot more snacks doled out on the trip home, but it worked. I'm glad that we proved to ourselves that we can do the trip.
