We've also entered the birthday party stage. With one coming up this weekend, that will be 3 this month. That's a lot, considering the one at the beginning of the month was really the first birthday party they've been to. They understood the concept of birthday parties, though, because they've been using them as psychological warfare on each other. When they get mad at each other, they say "You can't come to my birthday party." They also use "You can't come to my tea party," which doesn't bother me too much. It really bothers me, though, that lately they've started saying "You're not my friend."
Anyhow, back to the birthday parties. This one was at a local park.
They had out some trucks and cars for the kids to play with. Girls after my own heart. If only they knew how much I loved to play "parking lot" with my matchbox cars when I was a kid.
We played at the park,
and went down the super fast slide.
We also discovered these.
It took a little while for them to get the hang of it, and an older girl was helping them for a bit. They're growing up!
