More Music

Remember the outdoor concert series that we went to where we took the picnic?  We tried that again the following week.

But it was stormy.  (Sigh.  Summer.  Of course, the good news is that I haven't had to water the new shrubs and flowers in the last week or so.)

They moved the concert inside.  To an actual auditorium.

You know, auditorium?  The quiet kind?

We were going to have our picnic outside anyway, but we parked and started walking, and just as we got there, we heard the thunder.

So, back to the car.

They seemed to think the picnic in the car was pretty cool, up until the wind started really blowing.  Then they wanted the doors closed.

We told them they didn't have to strap themselves in to eat, but Emma and Rebecca insisted.  (And yes, that's me, in the back, hoarding the cherries.)

We did decide to try the concert, and it wasn't too bad.  As one would expect with three and a half year olds, we were up and down a lot.  At least two trips to the bathroom each, we sat downstairs, we sat in the balcony, we sat back downstairs.  And we didn't make it through the whole thing.  

But at the very least, it was a new experience for them.
